Denise Williamson is a Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in personal growth, relationship difficulties, and anxiety. With over eight years’ experience as a therapist, she is pleased to be practicing in San Luis Obispo and servicing the surrounding areas, including Five Cities, Morro Bay, Atascadero Santa Maria and Paso Robles. Denise Williamson has worked with many clients towards resolving their unique issues and to help them better manage their stress, improve their personal and work relationships, heal emotional wounds, and to increase their sense of self-worth. She believes, "Happiness must include following our dreams and the more we imagine and build on our dreams, the more they can guide and become part of us."
As an interactive, collabrative therapist, Denise Williamson provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address issues that may have left them feeling ‘stuck.’ With compassion and understanding, she will work with you to help build on your strengths and to attain personal growth.
After practicing for over ten years in both Wisconsin and Southern California she is pleased to be working in San Luis Obispo. Denise Williamson, who is a native of Southern California, is now enjoying living and practicing in the Central Coast. She studied and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at The University of California at Santa Barbara. After graduating she pursued a business career for over 10 years. Denise Williamson later chose to complete her graduate training at Phillips Graduate Institute in Southern California, where she received a Masters Degree in Arts in Psychology with an understanding of neuroscience. Denise Williamson is uniquely qualified by having other experiences along with her in-depth training in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is trained in the creative arts and business. All her life experiences and training help to form unique perspectives when approaching client issues.
